The ultimate self-care experience
On Saturday 24th October 7-8:30pm BST UK at Yoga Kula (Leeds)
– in person & online offering

Get ready for an incredible night’s sleep by joining Becki to drop into deliciously deep rest, sweet renewal, and total relaxation.
Yoga Nidra is the ultimate self-care experience; an opportunity for us to simply surrender, take a breath, and give ourselves the gift of total indulgence.
We’ll open with a soothing meditation to set our intention – our sacred Sankalpa – and connect with our heartfelt desires, followed by a cleansing Brahmari pranayama practice to release any stuck or stagnant energy in our physical and energetic bodies. We’ll then prepare the body to wind down with gentle (yet powerful) restorative yoga postures – we’ll stay low to the ground, using props to relax, let go, and create spaciousness in the body.
Then the main event: a blissful co-creative guided yoga nidra meditation. You’ll be invited to create your own personal healing experience along with Becki – making this nidra practice totally unique to this gathering of yogis. We’ll invite every part of our body to relax, and deepen our ability to move into ‘rest and digest’ mode. We’ll explore our ‘inner light’ and connect to the healing energy which resides within.
10 minutes of yoga nidra is the energetic equivalent of getting 1-3 hours of deep sleep… and a longer practice of 30-45 minutes can be as restorative as a full good night’s rest!
What is Yoga Nidra?
It’s a Sanskrit term for yogic sleep, a powerful technique rooted in the Tantra Yoga tradition. Sri Dharma Mittra calls this a form of ‘psychic purification’ – and it’s one of the deepest states of relaxation we can enter whilst remaining conscious.
This practice helps us tap into the most creative and intuitive part of our brain (which lays dormant when we’re stressed). It allows us to access a deeply healing energy in the realm of our subconscious, and leave our mat feeling utterly renewed.
During the session, you can expect:
- Cleansing breathwork to release stagnant energy
- Deeply restorative yoga practice to help your body wind down
- Candlelight and essential oils to aid relaxation
- Blissful co-creative guided yoga nidra practice
Whether you join at home or in the studio, create your nidra nest with:
- Yoga mat
- Blanket or cosy jumper (cosy socks too!)
- Bolster or pillow
- Eye mask, eye bag, or light scarf to cover eyes
- Essential oils, incense, candles
Suitable for: all levels, including pregnant yogis
