Thick & Creamy Lemon Tahini Sauce

This vegan Lemon Tahini Sauce is a super simple way to make vegetables even tastier! Pour it over a side of greens, salad, or even veggies you're not such a huge fan of, and they'll disappear before you know it.
Make it spicy: add a pinch of chilli powder.
Make it sweeter: add 1 more tbsp maple syrup.

  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 lemon (juiced)
  • 2-4 tbsp hot water (to thin the sauce)


  • Add the tahini, maple syrup and lemon juice to a bowl or mug and stir.
  • Add hot water until a pourable sauce is formed - start with 2 tbsp, and add more if it’s still too thick.
  • Pour over your veggies and serve immediately.


Serving suggestion: enjoy on top of your favourite (or not so favourite) veggies. 
Leftovers: the lemon tahini sauce leftovers will keep for 1 day in the fridge, but it's best enjoyed immediately.
