Use this meditation to feel totally radiant, and give your well-being an instant boost. In this quick practice, you’ll gently release tension, and nourish your sense of inner calm.
Fancy a quickie? 😉
I’m a strong believer that even just 5 minutes of meditation can be enough to massively boost our well-being. Five minutes is all it really takes to completely change our mood.
Plus, we’re all so busy. We can barely fit everything we want to do into our day as it is – so we have to be realistic about how much time we can make for meditation.
Luckily for us, we can change how we feel in an instant.
Think about the last time someone gave you a compliment or did something kind for you when you were in a really bad mood. If it actually managed to penetrate your shield of negativity, chances are it had a positive impact on how you felt.
In the same way, giving ourselves a little TLC with a quick meditation for stress can totally change our day around.
Release stress to make room for joy
In life, we get more of what we focus on. What we appreciate, appreciates. What we think about, we bring about.
If we focus on how stressed we feel, how busy we are, and how much we have on our to-do list, then we’re likely going to feel pretty terrible.
But if, instead, we focus on opening ourselves up, softening our bodies, and relaxing into the tension we feel, we can create space for something greater – joy.
And being happy is actually good for humankind 🙌🏻
When we’re glowing with happiness, it transfers to the people around us. Think about how awesome it is to spend people who are alive with joy. It lifts us up; we feel their joyful energy, and snap a little up for ourselves.

1.Sit or lie down somewhere where you can comfortably relax, set a timer for 5 minutes (or longer, if that’s what feels good), and close your eyes.
2. Settle in and gently become aware of your breath, and how your body feels in this moment.
3. Imagine a ball of light at the crown of your head, slowly floating into your body, and releasing any tension in your head.
4. Visualise the ball gently moving down through your body from the head to the soles of your feet (including your inner organs), releasing tension as it moves through each area.
5. Feel the ball of light expanding until your whole body is sitting in a radiant, glowing light.
Repeat this meditation whenever you need a quick well-being boost.
